Meet Our New Executive Director, Andrew!

We’re privileged to have Andrew San Nicolas join our team as the new Executive Director of Kingdom Causes Bellflower! Andrew was inspired to pursue the Executive Director position at Kingdom Causes Bellflower after a friend recommended it. As he learned more about the organization's needs, he recognized how his experience and skills aligned with the role's requirements.

Andrew brings a diverse range of professional experiences and a strong commitment to his faith. With a Bachelor's degree in Construction Engineering Management, Andrew spent eight years working for a commercial contractor as a project and senior project engineer where he collaboratively supervised a large team of subcontractors, overseeing large-scale commercial projects and building refurbishments in impoverished areas, such as Skid Row. Soon after, Andrew was commissioned as a church planter and pursued a Master of Divinity degree with a focus on Urban Church Planting. He dedicated a decade to church planting in Southern California, followed by three years in San Francisco. Andrew's passion for making a positive impact also led him to serve as a general manager at Fronk’s Restaurant in downtown Bellflower, and he also undertook meaningful work in China for three years.

While Andrew has achieved various milestones, he holds his enduring relationship with his wife, Amanda, as his greatest accomplishment. He met Amanda at California State University, Long Beach, and after nearly 16 years of marriage, they remain each other's best friends, embarking on numerous adventures into the unknown while living by faith. During his downtime, Andrew finds relaxation and rejuvenation through board games, owning a substantial collection. Additionally, he enjoys fly fishing and brewing beer. When it comes to his cultural background, Andrew shares that it reflects his father's Guamanian heritage and his mother's Mississippi roots. Community is important to Andrew, and he is grateful to have had a few mentors and role models who have encouraged him in his work by pushing him to go beyond average and do well.

Joining the team at KCB excites him as it represents the next step in fulfilling what he believes is God's calling for him and his family. So far, Andrew’s collaboration and teamwork experiences at KCB have been profoundly meaningful to him. The team's practice of praying together, which existed even before his arrival, resonates with him. It’s powerful and humbling for Andrew to witness a group of dedicated individuals working tirelessly for the right reasons, expressing gratitude for successes, seeking assistance during setbacks, and finding motivation to give their best each week.

As the KCB team has gotten to know Andrew over the past month, it is evident to us that he is a professional guided by his love for Jesus, his devotion to family, and his desire to bring the Kingdom of God closer to reality. With a background in engineering, church planting, management, and international work, he brings unique skillsets and experiences to his role as Executive Director that compliments our team’s strengths and benefits those we serve. Andrew's faith, values, and commitment to collaboration make him a compassionate and effective leader dedicated to making a positive impact in the community. Our team is excited to work with him and see how the Lord continues to do a good work in the Greater Bellflower Area through Andrew at Kingdom Causes Bellflower.
