Each year KCB helps between 75-100 homeless neighbors off the street! Would you consider making a special “Welcome Home” basket to bless our neighbors as they transition into safe and sustainable housing?

What types of items should go in a Welcome Home Basket?

  • Kitchen Ideas:

    • Silverware

    • Dinnerware for 4 (plates, bowls, glasses)

    • Pots & Pans

    • Cooking Utensils (spatulas, can openers, knives, etc.)

    • Kitchen Towels & Pot Holders

    • Coffee Maker & Mugs

  • Bathroom Ideas:

    • Shower Curtain & Rings

    • Bath & Hand Towels

    • Bath Rug

  • Bedroom Ideas:

    • Bed Sheets & Pillowcase

    • Pillow(s)

    • Alarm Clock

    • Hamper/Laundry Basket

  • Cleaning/Household Supplies Ideas:

    • Hand Soap

    • Paper Towels & Toilet Paper

    • Cleansers/Solutions

    • Broom & Dust Pan

    • Mop & Bucket

    • Toilet Plunger, Brush & Cleaner

    • Laundry Supplies

    • Dish Soap & Sponges

    • Trash Can & Trash Bags

  • Ideas to Make It Feel Like Home:

    • Soft blanket or throw

    • Small House Plant

    • Candle

    • Slippers or Warm Socks

    • Welcome Mat

    • Gift Cards to Dollar Tree, Target, Walmart, etc.

    • A prayer of blessing for their new home

    • Ask KCB Staff about the neighbor’s favorite color or theme
